**COMPLETE** Enterprise and Web Services Upgrade/Downtime Wednesday, March 21st, 3 a.m. - 9 a.m.

UPDATE 4:00 pm: The search results issues and intermittent outages seem to have been resolved. SWAN and SirsiDynix are continuing to monitor Enterprise.


UPDATE 1:00 pm: We are still seeing intermittent outages and search results issues with Enterprise, and we're working with SirsiDynix to resolve them.


UPDATE 11:00 am: Issues with Indian Prairie and Homewood are resolved. Some search strings are not returning results, and SirsiDynix is working to correct this.


UPDATE 10:00 am: Indian Prarie and Homewood profiles are not returning search results. SirsiDynix is running an index to correct the issue, which is causing Enterprise to load slowly.


UPDATE 7:50 am: Upgrade complete!


UPDATE 7:00 am: The upgrade is still in progress. You should be able to access your Enterprise profiles, but indexes have to complete before searching and account features will work. SirsiDynix is hopeful that the indexing will be complete around 9 a.m.


SWAN Member Library Staff: 

SWAN has scheduled an upgrade to Enterprise v5.0.0 and the latest version of Web Services. This upgrade is required to prepare for the responsive version of Enterprise, set for release later this year.

Improvements to Enterprise include:

  • Sort by author functionality in checkout history
  • Improved indexing speeds
  • Bug fixes for Safari browsers


We've scheduled the upgrade with SirsiDynix for Wednesday, March 21st at 3:00am. This upgrade will require downtime of Web Services and Enterprise, estimated at 4-6 hours for:

  • All Symphony Web Services/Enterprise OPAC functions
  • Enterprise My Account functions (including payments)
  • Enterprise Search functions
  • BookMyne
  • MobileCirc (will only work in Offline Mode)
  • EDS & ERC
  • BLUECloud Analytics
  • ProPay

In preparation for the upgrade, updates to Enterprise profile themes will be made throughout the day on Tuesday, March 20th. These will include minor changes to colors and layout changes for detail displays of search results. In addition, Novelist will be disabled March 20th until the upgrade is complete.

Please note that Symphony WorkFlows and SIP2 will not be affected by this outage, so SIP2 devices can remain connected, SIP2 vendors (like ebook vendors) will continue to communicate, and WorkFlows Offline Mode will not be required for this outage. We'll also be posting a notice to the Enterprise OPAC homepages to inform patrons of the outage.
