MobileCirc Logins Temporarily Suspended 6/4

While we're still exploring some options with SirsiDynix support, we've identified two possible factors to improve system performance and hopefully alleviate the fluctuations of system load when this issue occurred. The first involves the purge of an unused patron database function that adds bloat to patron records – this will be performed by SirsiDynix engineers next week. The other is an increase in CPU provisioning on the Symphony server, which the IT team hopes to tackle this weekend off-hours.

We’ll post more news next week as soon as it becomes available.

This morning, we encountered another bout of intermittent slowness in the WorkFlows client. Upon further investigation, we found this slowness was again due to a runaway system process relating to the MobileCirc client. We’d previously escalated the matter with SirsiDynix support engineers but have been unsuccessful in resolving the bug. That being the case, we’ve decided to temporarily suspend access to MobileCirc until we’re able to fully resolve the issue.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and we will send additional updates via this news post as soon as it comes in. We hope to have another update within the next couple of days.
