Hoopla to Require Patron PIN

As part of their updates to authentication requirements, Hoopla will require all users to provide their PIN for access to the resource beginning on Tuesday, December 10th. In order to meet their requirements, SWAN will be enabling PIN-based authentication for all member libraries subscribed to Hoopla.

As a reminder, patrons that have difficulty with their PIN when accessing Hoopla or any SWAN services can access the self-service "Forgot My PIN" button at the Enterprise portal login screen. This feature emails the patron an automated PIN reset link which applies universally to their SWAN-connected services. 

Hoopla has provided marketing materials for both library staff and their patrons which may be made available as questions or concerns arise.
