Due to our index rebuild over the Thanksgiving holiday a relatively small number of hold pickup notices were not generated. As a result some of those holds expired on libraries' pickup shelves after 7 days. SWAN has worked with SirsiDynix to reactivate those holds. By reactivating those holds the patron won't need to place a new one and will be placed back at the top of the queue.
Holds that haven't been processed yet will remain active and have their hold pickup by date extended another week. Library staff can check these items in and print a new hold slip and or wrapper. SWAN will send a one-time pickup notice for these holds.
Please be aware any new holds placed for the same material won't be cancelled and the patron could essentially have 2 active holds for the same item.
