Note that the learning management system will include interactive online courses only; to view the full selection of SWAN webinars and training, view our tutorials and training resources.
Library staff can register, enroll in online courses developed by SWAN, and track learning and certificates of completion. We are using the software platform Inquisiq to support our online SWAN Learning.
Registering
Before registering in the learning management system all learners must first have an L2 account set up.
Learners can self-register.
Learners will follow links from our SWAN Learning home page:
- First time - Create an account
- Once approved - SIGN IN
Online registration form
Complete the online registration form, following on screen instructions and providing all required information.
Please note the following:
- Email - Please use your library work email address.
- Username - Please use your primary work email as your username. This should be the email registered in the L2 directory. Verification of library affiliation will be confirmed before account is activated.
- Library - it is important to select your primary library affiliation. This drives reporting in the system.
- Area of interest is optional, but helpful for us as we target new course topics.
Approving registrations
Registrations must be approved by a SWAN administrator. When approving learners, we verify that the staff member is affiliated with a SWAN library and that they are listed in L2. Your library affiliation will be confirmed and you will be added to your library's learning group.
Once approved, learners will get a confirmation email and can then enroll in any course offered through the SWAN Course Catalog.
SWAN Online Learning Course Catalog
The SWAN Online Learning Course Catalog can be accessed from the CATALOG link on the main toolbar. This Course Catalog can be previewed without having an account or being logged into the system - in case you want a sneak preview before registering.
Click on a course card to see a description of the course and estimated time to complete.
Once signed in and learning account is approved, you can enroll in courses.
NOTE: Some courses may require pre-requisite completion of another course, or may require enrollment confirmation by SWAN administrators before you can start the course.
