SWAN is happy to announce plans to move forward with the BLUEcloud Cataloging pilot project slated for late Spring 2022. We expect the pilot will last about 3 months.
BLUEcloud Cataloging offers robust and intuitive templates that will help to streamline the manual input of pre-cats. We are currently developing training materials but want to put the word out, so you have time to think if your library wants to participate in this project.
Things to consider:
- Staff who participates in this project is expected to know how to create pre-cats in WorkFlows. This is not a cataloging training, and you will use your pre-cat knowledge and apply it in BLUEcloud Cataloging.
- This project is designed for libraries that enter many pre-cats. This is important for us to make the best use of the template functionality, test its capability, and provide feedback to developers.
- We are looking to have 5-7 libraries who will commit to use BLUEcloud Cataloging to create pre-cats for a period of approximately 3 months.
