The Aspen 24.01 release is live, and it includes several updates for the Aspen LiDA app, including a link for fines payments, improvements to prompts, and the ability to display links to your library website.
Aspen LiDA updates
Link to fines payment
The app now includes a link to fines payment page in Aspen Discovery. The user will stay logged into their account when linked from the app.
Notifications prompts improvements
The notifications prompt should no longer re-prompt after a user has interacted with it (either turned notifications on or closed the prompt if they don't want notifications).
Holds default pickup
When users place a hold through the app, the user's preferred pickup location will appear as the default so users will not have to select a pickup location with every hold.
New look, link options for Library Contact screen
The library contact screen has a new look-and-feel. This redesign is preparing for enhancements in future releases to allow users to view the hours and contact information for other library locations and branches.
You can also now add links to your library website in this screen, using the Library Systems settings in Aspen Administration.
Aspen Discovery updates
Copying placards and system messages
Aspen Administrators can now copy system messages and placards. When you edit a placard or system message you will see a Copy button which will copy your content to a new placard or system message.
Relevancy for format searches
This release includes updates to search relevancy for searches that include a format in the keywords or title, such as "large print" or "dvd".
