Automating processes in WorldShare Interlibrary Loan can significantly improve efficiency in placing ILL requests and responding to incoming requests. In this demonstration workshop, we will review the process for setting up OCLC Resource Sharing Groups and setting policies to deflect requests based on requesting library, material type, or age of material. For example, SWAN libraries would not request material from another SWAN library through OCLC, those requests from our SWAN colleagues in OCLC should be deflected (automatically denied). The workshop will look at methods of streamlining operations.
