It was brought to our attention that some patrons were not receiving email and SMS hold pickup notifications for their available holds following the change to pre-COVID settings on September 1st. We determined that the reports to generate hold pick-up notices were not correctly configured to notify for holds trapped after 2PM the previous day. This issue was corrected before the hold notices went out yesterday (9/8).
To account for notices that were undelivered prior to the correction on 9/8, we ran special hold pickup notice reports on 9/8 to catch any available holds where patrons had not yet been notified. If your library wishes to accommodate for this notice delay and provide patrons with some extra time to retrieve the material, we recommend leaving material on the hold shelf for an extra day.
