We are ready to submit patron records for National Change of Address (NCOA) processing in December 2021. Any remaining records from NCOA 2018 that have not been updated (NCOA 2018 note removed) will be excluded from the NCOA 2021 processing. Throughout SWAN, we have approximately 2,500 patron records remaining.
Review the following report which is paged by library to see a list of these patrons. Select your library to review patron records remaining with NCOA 2018 notes that require manual review.
All libraries should review the remaining patron records assigned to their library and perform the following actions:
- BADADDRES Status: If the patron address listed is in your service area, either remove the NCOA 2018 note from the record, or remove the patron record requiring re-registration if the patron returns to the library. If the patron is no longer in your service area, remove the patron record.
-
COLLECTION Status: These patrons were sent to Unique's collection status prior to NCOA 2018 run. Patrons are notified by Unique for 154 days after submission. Library staff can update patron information (name, address, phone) on Unique's InfoLink website to trigger contact again for the 154 day period.
- If no change is made to the patron record, they will age out due to inactivity.
- If you would like assistance from SWAN on removal of these records in SWAN and with Unique, submit a ticket.
- OK, BLOCKED, BARRED, etc: Review the patron record and determine why the NCOA 2018 Note is still on the record. Remove the note in order to have this record included in the NCOA 2021 run. DEADLINE: 12/6/2021 for inclusion in 2021 NCOA run.
Records that are not reviewed will age out due to inactivity as any other patron records.
