Patron Point is still working on configuring SWAN's upcoming online patron registration form on their Verify platform. We are planning to sunset our current registration form and cross over to the Patron Point solution on August 26th.
We will have more information coming soon. Over the coming weeks, we will provide the following as soon as they are available:
- A URL for the SWAN patron registration form
- Embed code to incorporate the form into your website
- Dates for brief Zoom orientation sessions in mid-August
- Support site documentation
Reminder about Patron Profile defaults
We have heard from most member libraries confirming the default settings that Patron Point will use to create patron profiles. We are extending the deadline to provide feedback through the end of this week, July 25th. See this news post for more information: Online Patron Registration Default Settings
Call for Early Adopters
We are seeking a few volunteer libraries as early adopters of the Patron Point form. Early adoption would entail promoting the registration form either using the SWAN link or a website embed. During the early adopter phase, SWAN staff will monitor all applications to ensure they follow expected behavior. We will also provide daily reports of new card registrations at your library.
Early adoption will begin in early August as soon as we receive word from Patron Point that the platform is ready. Because of the work required, we need only a few volunteer libraries. If we receive a large number of volunteers, we will choose via lottery.
