Due to an incompatibility we've uncovered with certain SonicWall firewall configurations and SWAN's new VPN network, several libraries have reported brief WorkFlows/VPN disconnects that generally last a few seconds. Following these disconnects, staff are immediately able to log back into their WorkFlows sessions. These disconnects should only impact your WorkFlows sessions, and are generally not long enough to impact SIP2 services internal to your library.
We've found this is due to a setting that forces a VPN renegotiation every eight hours, and since our new environment is not mirrored to the SonicWall configuration at many of our libraries, the renegotiation handshake does not occur as smoothly as it previously had (there is momentary packet loss). We've determined the correct settings to resolve the issue and will be working after library hours for the next several days to correct any VPN connections exhibiting symptoms. For self-maintainer libraries, we may need to reach out to you to have this setting reconfigured on your SonicWall, so if your library has been exhibiting this issue, please expect our call.
