The changes for our National Change of Address run for 2022 are complete. As of tomorrow, January 7, 2023, the Symphony function to update Last Activity Date when a patron's address information is changed, will be re-enabled.
Final counts of updates:
- 38,364 recorded address changes
- 4,860 of those patrons were inactive (LAD before 1/1/2021) and moved out of state
- 1,497 of those patrons moved out of state and owe bills, of which only 68 owe more than $100
- 3,990 address changes were associated with patrons active after our 11/22/22 extract for processing
- 355,244 patrons active since 12/1/22 - geolocation refreshed for accuracy
To assist libraries in reviewing patrons flagged with NCOA changes, the following folder of reports is available in BLUEcloud Analytics:
SWAN Reports > Users > NCOA Processing > NCOA 2022
Use these reports to determine both scope and location of patron moves. We encourage libraries to review, verify, update, or remove patrons flagged through the annual NCOA process.
Recommended processing steps are available on the SWAN support site documentation for National Change of Address (NCOA).
Congratulations to all on this marked reduction in the volume of address changes.
