This is a reminder that we will be going live on the MessageBee notification platform for e-mail on June 27th. SMS notifications went live in late April.
Preparations
Many of you have already made changes to your e-mail and SMS templates. Others have retained the default configurations. No action is required, but if you do wish to change your outgoing templates, we encourage you to do so by the end of this week. That said, you may make changes at any time – even after we go live.
Please be aware that all templates will be live and active. Changes you make will be reflected immediately as notifications are sent throughout the day. Save changes to templates only when you are sure they are complete and accurate.
Affected notifications
Once e-mail notifications go live next week, the following phone, SMS, and e-mail notifications will be sent through the MessageBee platform:
-
Courtesy
-
Bill
-
Overdue
-
Hold Pick-up
-
Hold Cancellation (Expiration)
Autorenewal notifications are incompatible with the MessageBee platform and will no longer be sent, though items will still be autorenewed.
Other patron communications such as checkout receipts will be unaffected.
Office hours
Join SWAN staff in open office hours sessions where we will answer any questions you have about SWAN’s transition to the platform, including templates, banners, reports, and logistics.
