The Addison Public Library bibliographic data load has begun. This is the process in which SirsiDynix will load Addison's bibliographic and item records into our production database. These items will be findable in the Aspen catalog this weekend. For Symphony Workflows, however, reindexing of the records needs to occur. In lieu of performing a full rebuild and requiring offline time of our entire membership, we have opted to perform the indexing gradually over the course of the next week and a half.
During this time, there may be occasional searching anomalies in Workflows. We hope this will be minimal, and we are planning to index the newest SWAN records first to avoid any complications with these items.
Please also note that Addison's items will not be used to fulfill holds, nor will they be holdable to non-Addison patrons. This is a temporary measure to ease Addison into SWAN membership. We will incorporate Addison into our regular resource sharing operations in the weeks after their go-live date. Addison officially joins SWAN on Tuesday, November 14th.
