Update 10/28/24 2PM: After careful consideration, we've decided to postpone this update for the time being. We will update when an alternative date has been chosen via SWANcom and an updated news post.
To re-iterate, there will be no downtime. The 6.4.2 update will not be taking place.
Original Update 10/16/24 2:23PM: SirsiDynix has scheduled an upgrade of our Symphony Web Services after-hours on Thursday, October 31st at 11pm.
This 6.4.2 release includes new, enhanced and user-inspired features and fixes to reported defects.
This upgrade is expected to last approximately 60 minutes and will require downtime of Symphony Web Services, which will impact the following services during that time:
- Aspen/SWAN Libraries+ app
- My Account functions
- Holds
- MobileStaff
- BLUEcloud Central, Circ, Cat, Acq
- 3rd Party Vendor Integrations:
- Communico
- Demco
- Quipu
- Springshare
- Capira
- Kanopy
- Plymouth Rocket
- Patron Point
- OpenAthens (and associated reference tools)
Please note that Symphony WorkFlows will not be impacted by this outage and Offline mode will not be necessary. Additionally, Aspen will be accessible but with limited functionality as noted.
Look for an all clear message to be sent out via SWANcom after the upgrade has concluded.
