The Aspen 24.11 release is live. This release includes:
Improvements for masquerade mode
Library staff can now resume working on your current page when starting and ending masquerade mode. For example, if you start masquerade mode from a search results page to place a hold, you will stay on your search results instead of being directed to the My Account page. This was a request from our Discovery & User Experience Advisory group, and we hope it will make your workflows assisting patrons much smoother.
Updates to the Overdrive integration
Overdrive made changes to their API integration, which Aspen is now incorporating. These changes include When replacing the formats of EPUB, PDF, etc. to use the preferred terminology of Libby eBook, Libby eAudiobook. In addition, we can now include the name of the Overdrive consortium in the copies view of an Overdrive record.
Symphony API integration with app self check
The CLEVNET consortium sponsored development to use the Symphony APIs with the self check functionality in the Aspen LiDA app, also called scan-and-go. SWAN has been waiting on this work to be completed so we can resume our pilot with Downers Grove Public Library, Indian Prairie Public Library, and Lansing Public Library. We plan to resume the pilot in the new year.
