Removing a Control Record

If your library no longer subscribes to a title and would like to remove a control record from Symphony WorkFlows, use the instructions below to remove MARC Holdings, control records, and item records.  Item records and control records can be removed in any order, but MARC Holdings must be removed prior to removing a control.

Remove MARC Holdings

MARC Holdings must be removed before you remove your control record. Otherwise, MARC Holdings will remain on the title, but you will be unable to remove them.

  1. In Modify Control wizard, navigate to the MARC Holdings tab.
  2. Click on a MARC Holdings record that belongs to your library, and click on the Delete Serial Holdings Record tool.
