Notes
The group reviewed the DUX charge and discussed potential user research activities that may come up over the year.
Tara shared an overview of the behind-the-scenes of Aspen development, including an overview of the support vendors working on Aspen bugs and features; the process for funding and completing development for new features; and some larger questions in the Aspen community around how to plan for feature development. She also demoed the new Aspen development tracking tool, Jira, that is currently in the setup process. Eventually, this will be a place to monitor Aspen development and share ideas for new features.
Tara also shared specifications for development of series pages in Aspen. SWAN has already contracted for this work, and it will improve the search experience for series in the catalog.
The group also reviewed a large set of potential development projects, and they will vote on their feature priorities following the meeting. At the next DUX meeting, the group will discuss an Aspen configuration or research project to complete this year.
