Removing a Patron

Learn how to remove a user from the database and how SWAN purges records regularly. 

Manually remove a patron record in Workflows

If you need to remove a patron record follow these steps.

  • Open the Remove User Wizard in the Users Wizard Group

  • Enter override 
  • Enter the User ID or select the current user
  • Select Remove User

  • Press Close

The patron is now removed.

 Note there is no confirmation so as soon as you press the Select Remove User button, the patron is removed from the system.

Monthly long inactive patron record purge

The monthly review/removal of long inactive patrons removes any patron record that meets the criteria. Monthly reports are available in BLUEcloud Analytics and a link to the report in the history log is sent to each public library.
